George Dawson: An Unbiased Eye

A story of George Dawson and his pivotal role in the promotion, collection and exhibition of modern and contemporary art at Trinity College over the last 50 years makes up a significant strand of Irelands recent cultural history. The fact is that the development of the visual arts here, particularly in the 1960s and the 1970s, depended to a large extent on the heroic efforts of a surprisingly small number of committed individuals such as George - Aidan Dunne.
