About Dara McGrath
Irish based photographic artist, living in Cork, Ireland. His interest lies in researching and photographing the transitional lives of spaces, those in-between places where architecture, history, landscape, history and the built environment often intersect, and where a dialogue – of absence rather than presence – is created.
Recipient of the AIB Arts Prize, Solas Prize, RAC Photo Award, Remote Photo Prize, Europe Now Award, a European Eyes on Japan laureate and major funding project awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, Department of Culture Heritage and the Gaeltacht and local authorities both in Ireland and abroad. Dara McGrath has represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2008 and has recently presented and exhibited 'Project Cleansweep' at the United Nations (OPCW) in The Hague (2019).
The exhibition 'For Those That Tell No Tales' is currently being exhibited at the Crawford Art Gallery Ireland and will run until the 29th Aug 2021
